Last Call

Friday nights in Houston are actually boring for me, but every-now-and-then I venture out to the small bar behind me for a drink. It’s such a particular joint I’m not sure what to make of it. They play good music. I’m listening to the Bravery right now (which I told everyone it would be their new favorite band way before they were on tv). There’s a weird mix of people, but it’s a little too cozy for comfort. So while I sit and finish my $2 PBR, I’ll enjoy the the Journey someone played on the new-fangled internet jukebox.

Note to the bar next door: just because your cheesy clientele demand cheesy variety; it does not mean you should install an internet music-box.

Next post should be a study of the rock-o-la and/or Wurlitzer Jukeboxes. Oh, how I hope to own a working 45rpm working Wurlitzer.
