Writers Who Make a Difference

It took one professor to make the difference during the semester of English Composition II. For the first time in many years, I sat in a classroom where a Latino prodded our premature brains for answers. UH-D Name Change: A Question of Class and Race

I have a serious problem with the way UH-D is being represented in the media, and none of the people being interviewed in these articles seem to have the wherewithal to correct the reporters when they make asinine assumptions. Just because UH-D is an open enrollment university, does not mean that it is second rate anything. Students, faculty, and staff are doing amazing things with the scraps that UH gives us.
